Terms of use
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Top Tracks Solo (the website and web app, part of Top Tracks®). Top Tracks Solo is provided by Tastic Games Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17512365), registered office 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@tasticgames.com. By using Top Tracks Solo you agree to these terms — please read them with our Privacy notice.
1. The service
Top Tracks Solo is a free music game: you and three others — real players or bots — pick a track for each card, listen to 30-second previews and rank each other’s picks. We don’t host or sell music: tracks, artwork and previews come from Apple’s catalogue, and “Open in” takes you to your own music app. We may improve, change or pause the game (or parts of it, like matches against people or the boards) at any time.
2. Guests and accounts
- Anyone can play as a guest against bots — no email or account. If you’re under 13, ask a parent or guardian first.
- You must be 13 or over to create an account. Only signed-in players aged 13+ are matched with other people, ranked and shown on the boards.
- Sign-in is by emailed link: keep access to your email secure. One account per person, please — don’t create extra accounts to get around a pause, a wait or the daily limit, or to play yourself.
- You can delete your account at any time on the account page.
3. Free matches and ads
- Top Tracks Solo is free and paid for by ads. You get a number of free matches each day (UK time); you can get a few more by choosing to watch an ad or by sharing a result, up to a daily limit. Watching an ad or sharing earns extra matches, never points; those matches play and score like any other.
- Free matches, extra matches, points, ratings and places on the boards have no cash value, can’t be bought one by one, sold or transferred, and we may change how many there are. Points, ratings and board places can never be bought.
- A Tastic Games plan (section 4) takes the ads and the daily limit away. It’s optional: the game is the same game without one.
4. Tastic Games plans
- Who sells them. Tastic Games plans are sold by Tastic Games Ltd (details above), which runs all our games — Top Tracks, Top Tracks Solo and 6 Degrees (“our games”). Billing for every game is done through Top Tracks, our party game: your plan is held with a Top Tracks account for the same email address (if you don’t have one, starting to buy a plan here creates one, just to hold your plan). The purchases section of the Top Tracks terms covers payment, renewals, plan changes and refunds in full; the essentials are below. Payment is taken by Stripe.
- One email for every game. A plan belongs to the email address you buy it with. Sign in to each of our games with that email address and the plan works in the games it covers (below).
- What you can buy here.
- Single-player ad-free (monthly): no ads and unlimited play in Top Tracks Solo and 6 Degrees. It doesn’t include anything in Top Tracks.
- Tastic Games Pass (monthly or yearly): no ads in any of our games, including games we release later, for as long as you pay. In Top Tracks Solo and 6 Degrees, unlimited play; in Top Tracks, the same as its monthly ad-free tier (the full game, ad-free for everyone in the games you host).
- Everything for Life, sold in Top Tracks, covers Top Tracks Solo too. Top Tracks’ own tiers and packs work in Top Tracks only.
- Prices. Shown in your local currency where we can, including VAT or GST where it applies; where sales tax is added at checkout, we say so. The price, currency and how often the plan renews are shown before you pay.
- Starting straight away, and your right to cancel. A plan is digital content supplied straight away. When you buy, you ask us to start your plan immediately and agree that you lose your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations once it starts. The checkout page asks you to agree to this before you pay.
- Renewal and cancelling. Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price you agreed, until you cancel. Cancel any time in “Manage plan” on your account page here (or in any of our games); you keep your plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for. We don’t refund part-used periods, except where the law requires.
- Changing plan. You can have one subscription at a time: switch plans in “Manage plan”. A change takes effect straight away. Moving from monthly to yearly charges the year at once, less the unused part of your month; moving to a more expensive plan with the same billing period charges the difference for the rest of the period at once. Moving to a cheaper plan, or from yearly to monthly, turns what you’d paid for the rest of the period into credit that comes off your next payments; if your plan ends with credit left, we refund it to your card.
- Price changes. If we change a plan’s price we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we’ll try again over the next few days and you can update your card in “Manage plan”; until it’s paid, the plan is paused. If we still can’t take payment, the plan ends and you go back to the free version.
- Deleting your account. Deleting your Top Tracks Solo account doesn’t cancel a plan, because it covers our other games too — cancel it in “Manage plan” first if you want it to stop. Deleting the Top Tracks account that holds it ends the plan in all our games.
- Refunds and faults. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 aren’t affected: if your plan is faulty or not as described, email hello@tasticgames.com and we’ll put it right or refund you. A refunded or charged-back plan stops working.
- Plans are for personal, non-commercial use and can’t be transferred or resold.
5. Playing fair
- Play your own matches yourself: no bots, scripts, automated access, scraping, overloading, probing for weaknesses, or getting around limits.
- Don’t try to fix results or boost a rating or board place — for example by playing your own accounts against each other or working with others.
- Don’t pick tracks to upset or harass other players. Tracks are from Apple’s catalogue and explicit tracks are refused, but if something gets through, use “Report track”.
- Your name. If you choose your own display name, keep it kind: nothing rude, hateful or impersonating anyone, and no real names, contact details or social handles. We may reset a name to a generated one (and stop it being changed) if it breaks these rules.
- Report and block. You can block any other player (you’ll never be matched together again) and report them for an offensive track, an offensive name, unfair play or something else. Only report honestly — false or organised reports break these rules.
- Pauses. If 3 different established players report you, in 3 different matches within 30 days, matches against people are paused for 30 days (you can still play bots) unless we lift it sooner. We may also pause or close an account that breaks these terms, for as long as is fair. Think it’s a mistake? Email hello@tasticgames.com and a person will look at it.
- Leaving. Leaving a ranked match that has other people in it counts as a loss and means a short wait before your next match (longer if you keep leaving).
6. Music and our content
Top Tracks Solo, its cards, design, generated names and software belong to us or our licensors. Track names, artwork and previews belong to their owners and come from Apple’s services for identification and preview only. Top Tracks isn’t affiliated with, or endorsed by, Apple or any music service. Apple Music and other service names are trademarks of their owners.
7. Liability
We provide Top Tracks Solo with reasonable care and skill, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, or that your points, rating or saved tracks will never be lost or reset. We’re not liable for losses that weren’t foreseeable, for business losses, or for problems caused by things outside our control (such as your device, internet connection or third-party services like Apple or your music app). Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll tell you about significant changes before they apply to you. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there.
